So what’s new in Windows 11?

Windows 11 has a new, clean interface with simple tools that help users get things done and be more creative. By pressing the Start button in the middle of the screen, users can quickly find what they need.

Start uses the cloud and Microsoft 365 to provide users with the latest files they have previously accessed on other platforms or devices. So they can pick up where they left off, even with the documents they’ve been working on on their Android or iOS devices.

With new features in Windows 11, such as Instant Layouts, Instant Groups and Desktops, which help users organize windows and maximize screen space, multitasking has never been easier.

By placing multiple programs side by side on the screen, users can now enjoy the freedom of multiple windows and work on multiple applications at the same time.

Users can customize chairs for any element of their lives, such as work, play or education, and easily switch between them via the desks.

Widgets that offer an adaptive, AI-driven news feed and best-in-class speed for the Microsoft Edge browser also help users get to the information that matters to them faster. Widgets give manufacturers and publishers a new space in Windows to deliver custom content.

Windows 11 is a secure operating system, ideal for work and blended learning. It includes new built-in security mechanisms and a zero-trust operating system to protect data and access on all devices and is secure by design.

The Microsoft Store in Windows 11 has been completely redesigned for speed, variety, and convenience. It offers a wider choice of original and third-party apps that have undergone rigorous family safety checks, and provides unique ways to entertain, inspire and connect people.

For the first time, Android applications will be available in the Microsoft Store. Thanks to Microsoft’s partnership with Amazon, users can download them directly from the Amazon App Store.

As with Windows 10, Microsoft plans to ensure app compatibility with Windows 11 through App Assure, a free service that helps customers with at least 150 users troubleshoot any app issues that arise.

Windows 11 also takes advantage of the full potential of the system’s hardware, providing users with the latest gaming technologies and an immersive gaming experience:

  • DirectX 12 Ultimate, where users can enjoy stunning and immersive graphics at high frame rates.
  • DirectStorage allows game worlds to load faster and be better defined.
  • Auto HDR offers a wider and brighter color gamut for a truly immersive viewing experience.
  • Access to over 100 high quality PC games. New games are continually being added and made available to Xbox Game Pass customers on PC or Ultimate.

With the addition of Microsoft Teams to the Windows 11 taskbar, users can stay in touch with loved ones faster. With Microsoft Teams, users can instantly connect with loved ones anywhere in the world via text, chat, voice or video on Windows, Android or iOS.

Users can still communicate with friends and family who don’t have the Teams app by sending two-way text messages. With improved integration with Teams productivity features, users can now start or mute a presentation directly from the taskbar.

Microsoft is taking another step forward to create new opportunities for creators and developers by creating a more open ecosystem in Windows 11 that will benefit developers and provide users with more apps, games, movies, programs and web content :

  • Developers and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) can make their applications available in the Microsoft Store, regardless of the framework on which they are based, for example B. Win32 or Progressive Web App (PWA).
  • The gradual change to Microsoft’s revenue sharing policy means developers can keep 100% of their retail revenue. Application developers can continue to leverage Microsoft’s commercial ecosystem with a competitive 85/15 revenue share.
