Garmin Venu 2 Review: A perfect blend of sports and style

I am a big fan of Garmin products and have been buying them for years. I have been using the Garmin Vivoactive HR for the past 6 months and I must say it is the best fitness tracker I have used. The reason why I love this product so much is because of its design, features and the advanced fitness tracking software that it uses.

Garmin announces a new sports watch called Venu 2. The watch is specifically designed for the fitness enthusiast who wants to keep track of their daily activities and also wants to be stylish. The new watch comes in a variety of colors, designs and is available in both day and night time versions. The watch is designed with a user-friendly heart rate monitor.

The Garmin Venu 2 connects you to the world of Garmin GPS sports watches without a cable. With a stylish and sporty phone case that not only looks good, but also provides access to the phone’s functionality, the Garmin Venu 2 is the perfect tool for sports enthusiasts and active individuals, as it combines sports feature with stylish design.

Smartwatches and sports watches have become a popular accessory for everyone. While a smartwatch is thin and chic and suitable for everyday use, a sports watch is more rugged and sporty and is only worn on certain days. There is no denying that sports watches are big and bulky. But it is also true that nothing fulfills this function as perfectly as a sports watch. The Garmin Venu 2 tries to bridge the gap between these two watches. The brand has done its best to combine sport and style and has left no stone unturned to create the perfect sports watch we’ve all been dreaming about for so long. Image source : Courts word-image-1614 The Garmin Venu 2 is available in two sizes: the standard Venu 2 and the Garmin Venu 2S. The standard Venu 2 is 45mm and fits wrists with a circumference of 5.3 to 7.8 inches. The model is available in granite blue/silver or all black. The Venu 2S is 40mm and fits wrists with a circumference of 4.3 to 6.8 inches. It is available in graphite/slate, light sand/light gold, misty grey/silver or white/pink. Both watches are absolutely identical and have the same price. However, the Garmin Venu 2S has a slightly smaller screen and a nominally shorter battery life than the standard model. The Venu 2S is suitable for small people. Image source : Courts word-image-1615 The Garmin Venu 2 has an attractive metal frame, two physical buttons on the right side and a screen that outshines many of its competitors. There are two buttons on the right side of the clock. The upper button is used to start/stop the machine. Long presses on the top button brings up application settings and shortcuts. The bottom button is the back button, a long press takes you to the settings. The best thing about the Garmin Venu 2 series is its adaptability to consumer preferences. You can choose a combination of bracelet and bezel and customize it to your taste. There are several stylish belt options, so you can wear them to formal occasions as well. Image source : Courts word-image-1616 The Garmin Venu 2’s 45-millimeter screen has a visible area of 33 mm in diameter. There are some spots on the edge under the lens that are not part of the active area. The deep black of the AMOLED screen and the area around it blend so perfectly that you hardly notice it. You can customize the display with the watch faces available through Connect IQ. You can also display statistics on the watch face, such as. For example, steps taken or floors climbed. You can adjust the brightness of the screen according to your preferences. The smooth touchscreen and hot keys help you better navigate and use your sport watch.

Sleep monitoring

Image source : Courts word-image-1617 The Garmin Venu 2 provides accurate sleep tracking statistics. Sleep detection is improved by using first beat algorithms. Moreover, the Venu 2 also evaluates the quality of your sleep and gives you a sleep score. It is very effective in detecting poor sleep depth and a lot of stress. In the Garmin app, you can view your sleep cycle and see your weekly, monthly or yearly sleep schedule. The sleep function of the Garmin Venu 2 is highly appreciated. It easily detects a bad rest and warns you about it.

Battery housing

Image source : Courts word-image-1618 This function measures the energy level and gives a score of 100 points. Good sleep increases energy levels, while exercise and alertness decrease them. It essentially tells you to take a break and helps you determine if you are ready to exercise or if you need to rest. The Body Battery feature was also present in previous versions, but has been slightly modified and improved in Venu 2. It’s very hard to give a 100 for the Venu 2 body’s battery report card, because honestly, no one has ever had that much power.

Voltage sensing

Image source : Courts word-image-1619 The stress tracker provides useful information about your daily stress level. Our wrist detects or recognizes moments of stress and displays the stress level in real time. You can also view a 24-hour stress chart. Stress cannot be avoided, so it is always important to keep an eye on it and work on it. This feature is also directly linked to Garmin’s breathing feature, so you know when to take a deep breath to manage stress.

Airway detection

The SpO2 sensor is used to measure both blood oxygen saturation and respiration rate. You will be pleased to know that the Venu 2 uses a SpO2 sensor. The Venu 2 measures your breathing rate day and night, unlike the Fitbit, which only measures your breathing rate during sleep. Respiratory data can help detect pre-symptomatic conditions. The only thing that might frustrate many people is that, unlike Fitbit, Garmin Connect doesn’t help you interpret.

Age of eligibility

Image source : Courts word-image-1620 This is a very useful and creative feature. The Fitness Age feature predicts your fitness age by taking into account your personal statistics and fitness data from your workouts. It is best to check this feature every month. In addition, Garmin Connect provides recommendations on improvements you can make to lower your age by reducing your weight and increasing your days of exercise. This post will inspire many people to get fit and work hard to achieve their goals. Image source : Courts word-image-1621 The Venu 2 is a versatile sports tracking system. It offers features such as a built-in GPS sports tracking mode for running, cycling, golfing, yoga, HIIT, Pilates, rock climbing, bouldering and more. Being a jack-of-all-trades, he becomes the master of none. That doesn’t make it very useful for sports fans looking for in-depth details rather than concise information. This makes it unsuitable for people looking for accurate data.

Ongoing

Image source : Courts word-image-1622 The Venu 2 displays some important data, such as B. Distance/mile/time and heart rate. The VO2 max race is also part of the information provided by Venu 2. The problem is that it is not visible on the watch or in the MY Data statistics. It is only accessible through Garmin Connect.

HIIT modes

Image source : Courts word-image-1623 Venu 2 focuses on HIIT and strength training. The watch itself offers several high-intensity interval workouts, and even more workouts can be downloaded through Garmin Connect. A key point is the ability to set the stopwatch to the minute (EMOM) and to rewind as many laps as possible (AMRAP) from the watch. This makes HIIT more complete and intuitive. Another positive aspect of HIIT is that it records or stores and counts your sets of squats, push-ups, etc. A little frustrating is that you have to use it to move to the next set, which can be a little annoying. Image source : Courts word-image-1624 Garmin Connect is a repository of all the statistics that give you insight into your health and fitness. On the home screen, you’ll find the My Day page, which displays your current statistics in an easy-to-understand format. The application also allows you to compete with your friends. The calendar in the application can be used to look up specific past workouts. The last menu gives you health and performance statistics that can be compared by month and year. Some important measurements are not accessible from the Venu 2, so you must log into Garmin Connect to view them. You can also load guided workouts from the Workouts tab. Image source : Courts word-image-1625 The brand says the Venu 2 has a battery life of 12 days until the battery runs out completely. However, most users only achieved 8 days with 2 hours of GPS tracking for a round of running and a round of golf. The pulse oximeter was off and the display was not always on. It could work on the negative side. But here’s the good news: The sports watch is equipped with a quick charge function. The Garmin Venu 2 is a significant improvement over previous versions. This is a good all-round watch for health and sports, perfect for those looking for an everyday watch. Although it’s a bit expensive, it’s definitely worth it. The lack of appeal and lack of certain features that are easily found in more sophisticated watches can put off athletes.  But if you’re looking for a combination of everything, the Venu 2 will meet your highest demands. The Garmin Venu 2 is the newer version of my earlier highly-acclaimed Garmin Vivo 2. Apart from having a better screen and a much faster processor, the Venu 2 is packed to the brim with sports features. It boasts a built-in accelerometer, which lets the phone capture and display information about the user’s activity and how his or her body is moving. At the same time, it has a barometric altimeter that keeps track of the user’s altitude while running, cycling or playing sports..
